Beauty. This word can have several meanings. Beauty is a unique thing. There have been many says about the word beauty. For example, we have all heard “beauty is in the eye of the beholder”, or even “beauty is skin deep”. Beauty in fact can be seen in many forms. Beauty to me is natural. I see beauty in two forms. I see it physically in people and in nature.
Beauty is natural in people. In the physical sense, natural beauty comes about when no accessories are added to the person’s features. This would consist of no makeup, lip gloss, eye liner, hair extensions, etc. I think that all those things are not need to show beauty. The natural tone and cleanness of your skin is beautiful. Natural beauty can be determined by someone’s character as well. I think that being you is a sense of beauty. It helps to display who you are. Many people portray or act in a way that they think is beautiful. However, if they only be themselves, their own natural beauty would show. Being you is a natural character of beauty. Natural kindness and generosity plays a key role in showing a natural beautiful personality and character.
Beauty can also be seen in a nature aspect. The world’s physical sense is beauty. The clouds, flowers, waterfalls, rainbows, animals, and many things are natural things concepts on the earth. We find these things beautiful. Things that occur naturally are unique. They are deemed innocent, harmless, and a beautiful sight to see. They give u a sense of beauty and excellence.
Beauty can be perceived in many ways. Beauty is both unique and natural. Beauty can be both a physical and characteristic. It can also be seen as the nature of our environment. I believe that we are all surrounded by beautiful things, and that we all display concepts of beauty. There will never be a real definition for the word beauty. I am sure that as time goes on, more views and ways to perceive beauty will come about. To me beauty can be summed up in one word. Natural!

What is Beauty?


As the very popular saying goes, “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!” Many people have different views on what they consider to be beautiful which is why many people that I would view as unattractive are very beautiful in someone else’s eyes. The world today defines beauty based on outward appearances alone. You are not beautiful if you are not physically attractive. The world’s value beauty as being thin and tall with long hair, hair does not make a person neither does the color of their skin. A clear complexion, shiny hair, straight teeth, radiant skin, and correct proportions are all elements of beauty. Unfortunately, numerous people cannot be all of these things and they are forced to believe that they are not beautiful in the eyes of others.
Another saying that is very popular is, “Beauty is only skin deep.” I do not believe that this statement is true for the reason that with all the cosmetic surgery, technology and make-up that we have in the world today beauty is bought and not natural. Beauty can also be determined by a person’s personality and not necessarily by their looks because the way a person presents him or herself can make all the difference in the world. The most unattractive person can also display beautiful characteristics and it will conceal their appearance. Is beauty only conveyed in one particular color? No, African Americans are produced in many different shades, vanilla, caramel, mocha, coffee and chocolate.
Black is in fact beautiful and there is no other race that can measure up to the beauty that is displayed by African Americans. In my opinion, people should not focus only on the outside appearance because that can damage ones self-esteem. Parents should raise their children to appreciate the thoughts and actions of a person opposed to the looks of a person. Our priorities in American today are not at all in order but maybe one-day society will learn that beauty is not everything.

What is Beauty?

Beauty is in everything. But it is also in the eyes of the beholder. Beauty can be the sound of three harmonies in a concert choir, it can be a combination of Christmas lights on a Christmas tree, or it can be integration of different ethnic groups in a big city. Personally it is really no specific definition for beauty; because there are different ways to identify it. For example in my eyes, a more simple way of finding beauty would be through art drawings or through jewelry you can buy at a store. But a more Difficult way would be taking the time to consider seven or more years of your significant other being there you through the thick and thin, staying up night after night to help you through any and everything you have gone through, being faithful, honest, original, trustworthy towards you while cooking, cleaning, going to work, paying bill after bill, attending each and every parent teacher conference, and protecting his or her family each and every day; also known as love.
Beauty is everywhere. It can be hidden and preserved or it can be flamboyant material or popular Name brand clothes. People can or appear to find the relevance in beauty by how they showcase it. Some people are more natural or down to earth people. Some won’t focus on what don’t appear to match or correlate they just wear what they have and go on about their day. While other people appear to overdo the amount of colors or ensembles they own, by wearing a combination of things simultaneously.
Last but not least beauty can be touched. A blind man can find beauty in what he feels. Beauty can be in religion. It can reflect how Christians are touched by the word of God and how some people communicate with him through prayer and reading the bible. It is unmistakable they people chose to define beauty whatever way they please. But it is not a mistake that Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.

What is beauty?

Beauty is a quality of pleasure that given to the mind or sense. Beauty can mean a bunch of things to different people. The dictionary defines beauty as, “feature that is most effective or truefulness”. When a few people were asked to define or describe beauty they gave several different ideas/thoughts such as miraculous, happy, feelings, argument, trust, sex etc. In my opinion beauty can be thought of in the same way; when you have that person that can satisfy your physical, emotional and/or social needs.

As a person who experiences this feeling of beauty, it is an amazing feeling. The best thing about beauty is happiness. When you have that person in your life that makes you feel like problems and troubles don’t exist, and happiness and joy are the only options. It is a miracle to have beauty in someone life. Like me and my girlfriend although we may have petty arguments we know how to work out our differences, but at the end of our argument we always remember all happy time and the beauty of our relationship. This is a person who I can share my innermost thoughts with, and they support all ideas that I have. When you can have someone that loves you, flaws and all, it is the most beautiful feeling in the world.

On the contrary, beauty can be thought of as an amazing emotion, it can also have its downsides. The two most devastating downsides to beauty are pain and hurt. Beauty can make you do some crazy things to make your partner happy. An example of this would be going for broke to fulfill ones desires. With beauty there also come obstacles. When one cannot handle the emotions that come with; it brings misery, pain, and anguish.

I think he is very talented and very detailed. I like how he shaded and highlighted the picture. The picture is life like. I enjoyed this work of art.

When posed with the question "What is Beauty", the typical man might turn to you and mindlessly shout out the name of some overrated and over praised supermodel or actress. But being a man of high intellect, I know the truth behind the smoking mirrors. I know that to define beauty I would need more than just a mere matter of seconds to properly formulate a response to this question.
You see being a man of maturity has taught me that beauty is more than teh young, attractive, half-naked woman on the cover of every magazine. Beauty is more than just the highly praise picture painted by this century's Picasso or Michael Angelo.
They say that beauty is anything that brings pleasure or great satisfaction to the mind. By far I think that beauty is much deeper tahn that. I think that beauty is anything and everything that motivates, explores, creates any and everything that makes us think. For instance, have you ever looked at a soda bottle and wondered, "How did this bottle gets its shape?". Have you ever wondered what made that very bottle. Beauty is the bricks that we call home. Beauty is the mind in itself. How it works? Beauty is the woman herself, regardless of height, weight, race, color orgeneration, the strength of the woman that people ever so often tend to forget. Beauty is creativity. The simple fact thatwithout some man or some woman's creative mind, nothing would exist. Beauty is freedom. Beauty is Mathematics, cold, austere, numerical and sometimes as useless as it it may be. Supreme in itself, Learning is Beauty.

This is my best friend Shermaine Powell and she is 21 years

old. I have been friends with her since 2003 and she always loved taking pictures. She is

not what you would call an artists but she loves to take picture and decorate them. She

doesent even ask your permission. She just takes a picture of you and decorates it and

post it up on myspace. She does it to her friends as well as her enemies. Everyone knows

if you get into an altercation with her, you are likely to have funny pictures posted up of

you on the internet. She is not a bully she is actually very nice but she is addicted to

photos. She tells everyone I created the monster because she just wanted to have as many

pictures that I have but its an addiction for her now. She has a personal photographer to

take the photos for her. He is an artist as well. His name is Raphael Martinez. He is a

Chicago photographer and takes beautiful photographs for a great price. Both of them

are the artists of this photo if you look at it. He tells the subject to position themselves to

make the photo look appealing and that is art. She looks and photographs well and takes

the photo home and decorate the photo beautifully which is also talent.

This is Jovan Radakovich. I was looking for an artist and I happened to stumble across him and I remember him as being a friend from grammar school's older brother. I like this picture in particular for numerous reasons. First I like the fact that he started the picture out by painting the canvas black. The adds a lot of depth to the picture in my opinion. It also makes everything else on the canvas stand out. Although black is normally thought to be boring and plain it gives this painting a lot of definition.

Next I like the fact that he adds the white instead of just putting the man on the black canvas. By doing this he allows himself to put a showdow in front of the man which makes it come more to life. He also has the man standing in a weird position. This also created detail to the picture which makes a plain picture have more life. The white background is in the shape of a cross. I like that becuase I am a spiritual person. The fact that the guy is naked is one of the last things that I notice because of the things going on in the picture around him. I could see this picture hanging in someones house.

In addition to the fact that I think that this a great picture, it almost appears to me that he tried to paint himself. If you look at how dark his hair is and how dark the ghuy in the paintings hair is you can see the resemblances. It is amazing to me how some of the plainest pieces can have to most life. This is a plain black and white canvas with a naked man and in my opinion it says so much. I think that he painted this about homself at a time that he may have been feeling down and that's why he look so unhappy in the picture.

Needing to be known

Preston as he likes to be called has been painting for about 20 years now. Hes specialty are not drawings of buildings or abstract paintings it is something more meaningful. Preston is very skills of painting people. Like many artist his talent not only his way of life but also his means of getting through it. Not having the right exposure can somethimes be difficult and pricy. Word of mouth is the most reliable and affordable way of "getting out there". When speaking to him about this blog he was excited and stressed how greetful he was of having an opportunity for a little exposure.

Although he usually makes personal portraits he says he also tries to make paintings of current events (which sell pretty good). I personally saw a very large and very portrait of Barack Obama on capital hill with a crownd of people looking up at him and Martin Luther king looking down at him. The portrait was beautiful and the beauty of it was very powerful. If anyone is interested please contact me for his contact information.

What is Beauty?

Many have questioned what is beauty? If you ask different people, you will get a variety of answers. Some may look at this dog and say it's ugly, I look at this dog and see creativity and uniqueness. I guess the one real answer is beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Since everyone has a different opinion, they will all tell you what they find to be beautiful and it sometimes will be different. Just because you don't agree with what someone else finds beautiful, doesn't make it beautiful. I find beauty to be things that are appealing, creative, and interesting. Things that are appealing is the common answer to what is beauty. I find so many things to be beautiful that are not commonly "beautiful". When I walk pass someone and I say in my head that is a nice looking person, that is beauty. When I look at a painting and I can't stop looking at it, that is beauty. When I hear someone singing a song that I may not care for and I can still enjoy the persons voice, that is beauty. I also find things that are creative to be beautiful. I am into the different ways that people dress and the way different people put things together. Just because I may not wear it, I still find some things to be beautiful. Most people don't like Millennium Park, they think that it is a waste of money and space. I find it to be creative because not to many people would've thought to build that. Due to the creativity of the piece, I find it to beautiful. We saw a naked lady riding a zebra that had multiple colors in it. I found that piece to be creative, which helped me to see the beauty in it. Interesting things are also beautiful. When you go to the zoo and you see these weird looking animals, they are not always appealing to the eye. When you look at that same animal doing things in it's natural state, the way it walks may be beautiful. The way they look after their young may be beautiful. The way interact with different things may be beautiful. I look at a lot of pictures that capture me because of the things going on in the picture, or because of the way the picture may have been painted, and even the way the artist was able to tell different stories to different people with one piece is even beautiful. Beauty is all things. It goes far beyond what we are brought up to believe. It can vary from color, shape, size, looks, and even some things are so ugly that they are beautiful. Beauty is really in the eye of the beholder and often times if you take a step back you can see some form of beauty in all things around you. The next time you want to look at something and say it is ugly, try to find something beautiful in it and I guarantee if you can, things are far more beautiful than you would give them credit for.

Beauty Is...

In a broad sense people would agree that “beauty is in the eye of the beholder” but isn’t that broad itself? Beauty comes in many shapes and forms. It could be an object like a chair or vast but with the point of being appealing. For instance, a woman’s features to a man or like a bouquet of flowers. For most women beauty would be that favorite little black dress. It is to my understanding that beauty is what aspires feelings. What I think defines beauty is attraction, literature, and sound.

Attraction is the action or power of drawing forth a response. Attraction could a person, panting or even scenery. For example, a woman’s face, or the sparkle of her eyes attract men. Beauty is the form of a woman’s body or her sensual soul that makes her attractive. Beauty is attractive such as, a set of warm colors in a panting that hangs in an art gallery. Artist creates their work hoping to attract customer’s attention to purchase. Some scenery is developed to attract people to visit. For instance, the night scenery of downtown Chicago over looking Lake Michigan draws many people. Beauty is attraction.

A literary piece that draws feelings or emotions is beauty. Literature could be a poem, a song or a book. A literary piece in the form of a poem expresses feelings. For instance, “I am lost in your magic, my heart beats within your chest” quoted from a poem a man wrote for the woman in his life. The artist express the feelings he has about their love and how it makes him feel. Literature goes deep beyond words. Literature evokes emotions from the listener. Literature is Beauty.

A sound can also be beautiful, a sound in the mix of a song. A sweet melody mixed with other sounds and instruments are made to move the listener. A good song where the instruments hit every key on time, I know will make me snap my fingers. Music helps to lighten the mood. Music moves people to dance or sing. Music without words like Jazz, all instruments, Jazz hit the soul of the people and still makes them move. A sound can be soft or loud but a sound is Beauty.

What is Beauty? Beauty is something or someone that evokes emotions from another person. The things that move me and aspire me to call them beauty are the attraction I have for it, the words expressed and the sound that hits my soul.

This piece was painted by an artist named Jeff B. Though I never saw him, he was a local artist to someone I do know. One of my friends’ father, Mr. Carter, bought this painting from a young artist who was going door to door selling his work. He had a baby in his arm and told Mr. Carter that he couldn’t find a job and was trying to support his daughter. The picture is an ocean scene. The sun is setting in the horizon. There is a ship sailing toward the sun and there are a few objects that appear to be either fish or rocks thrusting out of the water. Jeff sold the piece to him for three dollars.

Later that day, Mr. Carter showed and described the painting to us. He told us he bought the picture because Jeff could have been one of those ‘slugs’. From hearing him talk on various occasions, I know that a ‘slug’ is a thug, gangbanger, or anything with a negative connotation. After my friend and I joking and saying that the man could have been Jeff U. or any other name, selling a Jeff B. painting, Mr. Carter simply said, “Well if the real Jeff B. were to ever become famous, then he would have an original Jeff B. painting.”

Beauty is more than appearance to me. Beauty could be how someone feel. The relationship one shares with someone. Like a signifcant other, or a relative, even a friend. The bond with someone can be a beautiful thing. Beauty is skin deep. Beautty can be a person’s personality. How a person act reflect how people percieve you. Impressions is very important.

In this picture there a grandma and her granddaughter. When I seen this picture it reminded was of how my grandma and I are. When I was little I would help with my grandma hair even now ill comb or style her hair. Like me it seem as though this little girl live with her grandma. Her her grandma raised her. It seem like a normal rountine they wake up in the morning grandma grab the newspaper sit in her chair on the front porch and granddaughter comb grandma hair.

The picture is beautiful itself because of the colors. From looking at this picture it seem like they live in the south. The colors look rich and very detailed. Beauty to me again is the reflection of a person. The relationship you have with othe people. How you interact with people. The love you have for others and the love you show towards others. This is what beauty is to me.

Beauty is a characteristic of a person, or object that provides an experience of pleasure and satisfaction. Beauty is an idea. Everybody's idea of beauty is different.To other its only physical attraction. To me it’s in the eye of the beholder. This is proven when you look around in the world.
The expression simply means that beauty has no set meaning, or even value for that matter. It also means that each individual may interpret the idea of beauty different about a person or object. To contain beauty, someone or something does not have to be physically beautiful. Beauty is everywhere. Take a simple picture for instance. Your first glance at the picture would not establish its beauty. You look at its whole appearance.
Beauty can also be determined in different ways. One way is by a person's personality. Not always by their looks because the way a person presents him or herself can make all the difference in the world. The most unattractive person can also display beautiful characteristics and it will conceal their appearance. To me beauty comes from within your soul.

The picture posted about my wife and I is very beautiful by all standard.
I really appreciated the way we carried ourselve and the image we presented.The
occasion that brought this picture into place is the center of the beauty of this
picture,as this was when we had our first child so during the naming ceremony,the
family and friends requested that we should have a picture to mark the occassion.
Nothing more beauty than when you see your first child,helpless and relying on
you for all his or her life needs and you know for sure that with resources God
provided for you,his needs can be meet.
The dressing of the day that we wore couple with family and friends around

The meaning of beauty is anything that encourages a reaction. The basis for this reaction requires reason. Possibilities are beautiful to me because they give a person reason to try to achieve something. This applies to many different aspects of life in modern times. The average person will see the possibilities in a situation and depending on whether those possibilities are good or bad they influence a person to either continue to move toward a certain situation or change their approach to the situation.

One of the most beautiful things in life is when a boy finds the girl that he likes at a young age. This very young boy doesn’t have a lot of resources to meet her desires which makes him that the things he wants to do for her are almost impossible. In the face of the predicament he envisions the possibility and either inquires some resources or seeks her out. Once he obtains those resources, a young man will most likely return for her.

Certain types of music are debated over for being beautiful or artful. In particular, when the artists talk about what they have. It could be seen as a means of inspiration to succeed for some. The movie, king kong was a perfect example of the meaning of beauty. The men wanted the woman and the beast wanted the woman. The beast obtained the woman and the men captured the beast. Then the beast escaped to regain the woman and went to man’s highest echelon to divest of him. The men surpassed that measure in pursuit of the woman. The possibility that each side might be able to keep the woman symbolized beauty.

This is an original character called Solarr, It was done by my good friend and art student Pierre Harding. He's been doing Anime style drawings since ive known him.
His background comes from growing up watching Anime and playing video games. His art earned him to be accepted at the American Academy of Art. I like the drawing because its is own character with its own story. The colors go well with the type of style he has. Since he wants to design video games, the texture of the picture is perfect for a video game character. The fiery sword shows that the character is prepared for battle. The colors show a hostile environment. What distinguishes him from alot of other artists is that most of his work is done digitally.

What is beauty? Beauty is so many different things to different people. What alot find beautiful some find ugly and vice-versa. Beauty can be an attractive person. Beauty can be an orchestra or choir performing. Sometimes beauty is whenever life is overwhelming, there is something or someone that can make you feel like nothing bad ever happened. Beauty is definately in the eye of the beholder.My idea of beauty is peace and serenity. No major problems, the ability to take life as it comes without worry.This past semmester, ive been to many art galleries and seen alot of what some people might call beautiful. As i said before, one person's idea of beauty can be completely different from the next person. Some things may hold sentimental value that someone else might call garbage. Some people in your life who others might dislike, can be the person who always brightens up your day and makes you smile.

What is beauty? This is the hardest question I have ever been asked because there is not a straight for answer. After sitting and thinking about it for two hours it came to me that beauty is an adjective that can be described by other adjectives. For some people it cannot be explained and for other it is known when it is seen. Beauty can be skin deep or it can be your face. Beauty is tall building and small houses, an old couple or twin babies. Beauty is life and how you feel about it. It is specific, general, narrow, and broad. Beauty is just one of those kinds of things that could be described in so many different ways.

Beauty is when you see potential in something that no one else does, as in a person who a friend may not see as attractive. Once you get to know that person you see their personality all their characteristic and that they have and you will start to like as a friend or something more. Beauty is the lyrics to your favorite song or the harmony of it. It is the colors of your favorite painting, and the statue of the naked man you giggle at when you go to the museum.

My perfect definition of beauty is the life around me. The way they different seasons form after each other creating pretty colors and the fashion that goes with them. The people in my life from my friends to my neighbors and my family. They may not be perfect but they sure are close to it. They all look different, dress different, talk and walk different, and some don't like each other but they have one beautiful person in common. ME!!!
