What is Beauty?

Many have questioned what is beauty? If you ask different people, you will get a variety of answers. Some may look at this dog and say it's ugly, I look at this dog and see creativity and uniqueness. I guess the one real answer is beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Since everyone has a different opinion, they will all tell you what they find to be beautiful and it sometimes will be different. Just because you don't agree with what someone else finds beautiful, doesn't make it beautiful. I find beauty to be things that are appealing, creative, and interesting. Things that are appealing is the common answer to what is beauty. I find so many things to be beautiful that are not commonly "beautiful". When I walk pass someone and I say in my head that is a nice looking person, that is beauty. When I look at a painting and I can't stop looking at it, that is beauty. When I hear someone singing a song that I may not care for and I can still enjoy the persons voice, that is beauty. I also find things that are creative to be beautiful. I am into the different ways that people dress and the way different people put things together. Just because I may not wear it, I still find some things to be beautiful. Most people don't like Millennium Park, they think that it is a waste of money and space. I find it to be creative because not to many people would've thought to build that. Due to the creativity of the piece, I find it to beautiful. We saw a naked lady riding a zebra that had multiple colors in it. I found that piece to be creative, which helped me to see the beauty in it. Interesting things are also beautiful. When you go to the zoo and you see these weird looking animals, they are not always appealing to the eye. When you look at that same animal doing things in it's natural state, the way it walks may be beautiful. The way they look after their young may be beautiful. The way interact with different things may be beautiful. I look at a lot of pictures that capture me because of the things going on in the picture, or because of the way the picture may have been painted, and even the way the artist was able to tell different stories to different people with one piece is even beautiful. Beauty is all things. It goes far beyond what we are brought up to believe. It can vary from color, shape, size, looks, and even some things are so ugly that they are beautiful. Beauty is really in the eye of the beholder and often times if you take a step back you can see some form of beauty in all things around you. The next time you want to look at something and say it is ugly, try to find something beautiful in it and I guarantee if you can, things are far more beautiful than you would give them credit for.
